Class Representatives

Class Representatives are the link between their classrooms and the Algonquin Students’ Association.

They voice the opinions of the classroom to the Students’ Association, and inform the students of the Student Association’s on-going activities. They also serve as the link between classrooms and faculty.

Congratulations on becoming a Class Representative!

Below is a handbook designed to answer all your questions regarding your very important position. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Annie Thomlinson, Manager of Marketing and Communication of the Students’ Association at thomlij@algonquincollege.com.

If you are wondering how you become a Class Representative, faculty are sent a Class Rep job description and sign up sheet in September for students beginning in the fall and also in January for students beginning in the winter semester. Classes elect their Class Rep to represent them at Student Forums and Program Council meetings. Essentially, the Class Representative is the voice for all students in the class.
