Montreal, February 23, 2016 – Just For Laughs is thrilled to present award-winning comedian, writer and television host Jimmy Carr in his first ever Canadian tour this spring! The master of deadpan one- liners will tour his latest, all-new stand-up show Funny Business in Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver, from April 30 to May 7. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 26. Times vary per market.

About Jimmy
He’s a veteran: a favourite at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, he has performed at the festival 10 times and appeared on 12 various Just For Laughs TV shows including TCN’s All Access and The Nasty Show which aired recently on Showtime in the US.

He’s on the telly: a fixture on British television shows, Jimmy has hosted fifteen series of 8 Out of 10 Cats, three series of 10 O’Clock Live, and special episodes of Big Fat Quiz and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Jimmy is also a rising star in the US, where he has performed two Comedy Central specials, and has done the late-night talk show circuit with Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien.

He’s “the hardest working man in comedy”: though, let’s face facts, that’s not that impressive. It’s like being called “the tallest dwarf” or “the healthiest Scotsman.” Really not that big a deal.

He sells, wins awards (and knows Royalty!): one of the biggest-selling live acts in UK comedy, constantly performing to sell-out crowds across the country. His stand-up achievements include a British Comedy Award for Best Live Stand-Up Tour and a Perrier Award nomination. He has performed three times in front of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, and has sold a combined 1.2 million copies to date of his eight different live DVD releases.
