Former Disney Animator Ron Husband at the Algonquin Commons Theatre.



On October 1, 2015, Twist Media/End Credits Podcast and the Algonquin Students’ Association will be bringing world acclaimed Disney Animator Ron Husband to the Algonquin Commons Theatre for a live presentation and Q & A. Ron Husband is an American character animator known for his work at Walt Disney Feature Animation, where he has worked since 1975. He is best known for his work as supervising animator for Djali in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, the Elk in the Firebird segment of Fantasia 2000, and Dr. Sweet in Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

Ron Husband also has published a book called “Quick Sketching with Ron Husband.” It lays out the fundamentals of quick sketching and how it benefits an illustrator.

The presentation will have a total run time of 3.5 hours comprised of a lecture by Ron Husband on his history and anecdotes, plus a synopsis of his quick sketching techniques. That will be followed by a short interview session by End Credits hosts Cory Tibbits and Myles Rourke and a 45 minute Q & A session with the audience. This will be a once in a lifetime experience for those in attendance to get up close and personal with one of Disney’s greatest and prolific animators.
