Vice President, Strategy and Business Development
Ahmet Tokpinar is a Bechtel Vice President and responsible for the commercial management of new prospects for Bechtel’s Nuclear, Security & Environmental (NS&E) global business unit, as well as leading strategy, marketing and business development activities for the nuclear power business line globally.
In Ahmet ’s 25-year career with Bechtel, he has gained extensive experience in Project Controls functions such as strategic and operational planning, cost control and estimating, and planning and scheduling. He was responsible for all cost and
schedule functions, estimating, commercial operations, and staffing on nuclear projects and has been integral to business development and senior management, moving from business development manager for Nuclear Power’s major modifications to Executive Assistant to the President of Power to leading all nuclear power business development activities.
Most recently, he was the manager of strategy and business development for Bechtel Power company responsible for business development for nuclear, thermal, renewables as well as communications business lines. Ahmet holds a Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from Bosphorus University in Istanbul, Turkey; a Master’s of Science (MS) degree in Construction Engineering & Management from Rutgers University; and a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the American Nuclear Society.
