Robin is entering her fourth season as an Assistant Coach with the Thunder Women’s Soccer program. Robin brings an extensive playing background to the program which includes international appearances for Canada at the U16, U17, U18, and U20 levels. Robin attended West Virginia University and also played in the W-League with the Toronto Lynx. While at West Virginia, Rushton was named the team’s most defensive player as a senior, was a four-year starter, and in 2008 was named team captain. Rushton started 85 matches in her career, the most by a defender in school history. She helped WVU defenses post 43 shutouts in four seasons while amassing a four-year record of 58-18-14. The Scarborough, Ontario, native also earned NSCAA Scholar All-EAST Region and ESPN’s The Magazine Academic All-District honors.
