More about Mike Gagliano
Mike Gagliano is entering this third full year as Head Coach of the Algonquin Thunder Men’s Soccer program. He is dedicated to the team’s well-being and success. Under his tutelage, the program has continued its success in both OCAA and the CCAA competitions, accomplishing the following achievements:
- CCAA Bronze Medalists (2015)
- OCAA Provincial Champions and Gold Medalists (2014)
- OCAA Provincial Silver Medalists (2015)
- OCAA East Division Champions (2014, 2015)
- OCAA Defensive Team of the Year (2014, 2015)
Prior to being named Head Coach, Mike served as an assistant coach as part of the program from 2010-2013, where he gained valuable experience that helped shape him as a coach.
Mike is an Alumnus to the Algonquin men’s soccer program. He represented the college for 5 years; four of which he served as team Captain. Under his leadership, the team earned five consecutive Provincial Championships along with one National Championship victory and three silver medals. Mike was twice named to the All-Canadian Team in 2005 and 2006, and was named OCAA Men’s Soccer Player of the Year in 2006.
